Helen enjoyed a private sector career winning many awards for her business and charity endeavours.  Made redundant by Global consulting firm Accenture she wasted no time in re-hiring her team and starting her first business. The arrival of her daughter Teija prompted her to make a change from consulting and create something which would make an environmental impact. She then founded a successful Clean Technology company in 2008, which she sold in 2014.

“I know just how satisfying it is to build your own business, reap the rewards of your hard work, but I also know that the path of business ownership is never straightforward. I have experienced the highs, but also the many varied challenges which come with leadership, learning all the time”. 

“I’ve been able to build businesses which have won awards, created wealth, jobs and opportunities. But it was after one particularly challenging time about 15 years ago that I made a promise to myself that I would never let anyone struggle with an issue that I already had the answer to.” 

Helen now runs multiple businesses, she mentors, coaches and consults to Government. “It’s a privilege to be able to help people as my day job, there’s nothing more rewarding in life”.  

Helen has always been active in supporting her local community and is really clear that her own success always needs to be reinvested with those people who are less fortunate.  In 2019 Helen was one of the founders of Integrity New Zealand, an advocacy group focused on Child Poverty, Mental Health and Environmental Issues. 

Outside of the office Helen is a typical busy Mum of two. Originally from Manchester, New Zealand became home in 1998 and is the perfect base for her and her family to live and play.
